About Conference

PMO as a trustee of the marine transportation plans to conduct the countrys first national conference on investment in ports with the focus on development and investment in ports,ensure economic growth. Also the role of ports in micro and macro economics,and strategies adopted in the seaports of the country and the region,and to increase private sector participation in the provision of port services and the establishment of manufacturing industries in the Port hinterland are the subjects that with presence of state officials,professors and university students from inside and outside the country,the shipping industry and with other enthusiasts will be discussed.

Chicago State University (CSU),Allameh Tabatabai University (ATU) and IranUniversityofScienceand Technology (IUST),University of Sistan and Baluchestan (USB) and Tarbiat Modares University (Economic Research Institute) (TMU),as the main members of the scientific committee for reviewing the articles submitted to the secretariat and with given lectures will support the Port and Maritime Organization (PMO).

Moreover,to enhance the richness of scientific conference,PMO collaboration with other universities in the field of transportation and the economy,has put on the agenda of the conference secretariat. We hope that,with participating in the scientific programs of the First National Conference on investment in Iranian ports will be of great benefit for all.
